Hi.

I'm coming to Zagreb in September and will be there for approx half a year so I'm looking for good place to play some tournaments, f. e. Pre-release, Modern tournaments? :) Where can I find any shops or I don't know places like cafes or pubs where tournaments are organised in Zagreb (and of course are comfortable places for foreigners ;) )?
I don't know Croatian language yet (but I will try to learn, it looks quite similar to Polish as I see :) ) so it's quite impossible for me to understand much on that forum, so if I posted in wrong place, I'm really sorry :)

Thank in advance.

Search for Carta Magica.. it's in Frankopanska 22,well if you have an android mobile/tablet you can locate it..
Well the main organizer from Zagreb ( bog frog ) isn't here atm ( idk why, but he's not in croatia, he wont come back till 21th august.
There are few other organizers from Zagreb.. for example carnophage memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=81 , you can try pming him.
Well.. I'm not from Zagreb and i'm practiclly new in magic.. but i want to help you somehow. If you need anything else , feel free to ask.

Also.. playing magic without knowing English makes no sense, right ? :) So as i see your English is good, so dw, you wont have trouble with communication
also.. i can speek polish.. friend taught me ! lesson 1 : Kurwa :elefant:

Welcome to the forum, Maciey! What brings you to Croatia?
In Zagreb, we organize most tournaments in Carta Magica (Frankopanska 22). We usually run 2 Standard and 1 Booster Draft with usually one additional event (Modern, Legacy, Pre-Release, etc.) each week.

Cya, I have to go watch Croatian team dominate the World Magic Cup!!!

when you get to zagreb, just post it on the forums, someone will be glad to show you around, there is only 1 place where the tournaments are held, so it won't require a lot of time =) and the language shouldn't be a problem since everyone speaks english

welcome!

Thanks a lot for the replys and advices.

I'm going for the Erasmus scholarship to Zagreb. But sometimes to stay in shape you just have to tap your magic cards ;) Of course I will have a lot of duties like partying but I can't do it every evening right? ;)

After arrival I will post there with much more questions :D

Kico123: You know Frenchmen or Germans got their own language cards :P and yes 'kurwa' in polish can be everything also a comma :D

wow Estonian guy used coins omg :D

I'm glad to read that :D

I have another questions :p

Which format is mostly played there? Despite T2 ofc ;) Do you play pauper sometimes?
I will have to decide which decks should I take cause I can't take all my cards :D

And last one for today :P
Is 'Strategije i Deckovi' a proper place to ask about buliding tournament decks or it's just for casual players?

Greetings!

Hi, it's me again! :)

I wonder if there is some kind of pre-registration for the RTR Pre-release?
Where I can do it, if only it's necessary?
How it will be with choosing that 'guild booster' and special guild promo card?

You can pre-register on the tournament announcement topic, but it is not up yet. Pre-registration is not required, actually, you can just show up, but it is good to announce yourself on the forums, in case too many people show up and there is not enough room for everyone to play. (you see, the space is very limited)

Hi. I'm in Zagreb right now. I plan to be on Pre on sunday! I got few questions, maybe you can help me with it :)

For the first, I'm looking for a room to stay. Near the Cvjetno Dorm or Pravna Fakulta generally somewhere over there, or in the centre of the city. Do you know if somebody is looking now for a roommate? Or has a free flat to rent?

For the secound I would like to buy a bike. It should not be such expensive and good one. It is just for the few months I'm here, so I will be enough if it can drive and will not be damaged and there will not so much rust on it. Generally it have to be nothing special. Just it has to work.

And the third one. Can anyone tell me where exactly the pre release will take place? I know that this is somewhere near the Cvjetno dorm but I'm really not sure where exactly.

ps. I forgot the fourth ;)
Is it far from Zagreb to go to Sambor Hills? Is there a bus or a train that goes there?
